There are plenty of tables on the patio, and an open air canopy to provide some relief from the warm sun. No problem! The Mint Julep Bar is tucked away in the corner of the garden patio of the French Market Restaurant, so this quick service walk-up window offers a tremendous location to soak in some atmosphere and enjoy a respite from a hectic day at the park. Now that you have your beignets and drink, it’s time to find the perfect spot to enjoy them. We all agreed it was absolutely wonderful! Served with a slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh mint, the New Orleans mint julep was scrumptious with our beignets, and definitely something I would return for again and again! If you’re looking for a more traditional drink, the Mint Julep Bar also serves fountain beverages, juice, milk, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. Another called it a mix of sweet lemonade and mint. Boy, was I wrong! One of my sons described it as having a Gatorade-esque flavor. Naturally you’ll need the ideal beverage to go with your beignets, and what could be more perfect than a non-alcoholic New Orleans mint julep? I’m not a fan of the traditional version of mint juleps, so I didn’t have very high expectations on this non-alcoholic variety. Of course everything tastes better when it’s Mickey-shaped, but these beignets would taste good in any shape! You can choose from a 3-pack or 6-pack (but honestly, unless you’re alone, you’d better opt for at least 6!) Just give the bag a little shake to drench your beignets in the sugar, and be prepared to delight your taste buds. Light, airy and oh so yummy, the beignets are served with powdered sugar in a paper bag. Probably the most famous treat on the menu is the Mickey-shaped beignets. What is served, though, are some delectable treats you won’t want to miss!

First off, I should clarify that the name “Mint Julep Bar” is a bit of a misnomer, because alcoholic beverages are NOT served here. If you’re looking for a refreshing, yet sinfully delicious snack at Disneyland, look no further than the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square.
